Louise Bourgeois

Louise Bourgeois was a large-scale exhibition and sculpture artist, also known for her printmaking and paintings. She worked with wood and plaster to build larger-than-life creatures and monsters. The subject matters in her work were always apparent even as she experimented with different mediums and subject matters- themes of anger, loneliness, and fear.

I was instantly drawn to her work because of the eerie, suspenseful vibes that came from all of them. I also just love body horror in art, especially sculpture, so I found her work very inspiring. I want to create works inspired by hers.
