Movement in Art- Animation

Animation is a form of artwork that features actual movement. Animation is compiling multiple images and playing them together at a fast frame rate to make the subject matter seem as if it is moving. Animation can be done in many different ways, including taking pictures over and over and moving an object, or drawing out multiple images that create movement.

Right now, I'm focused on pencil animation, which is created using a light box and pencil and tracing paper. The artist draws each individual frame and then plays them at a fast frame rate so it'll register as movement in our eyes.
